STUDIO OFFERINGS
Private Lessons
Each student receives a weekly 60 minute individual lesson. 45 minute lessons are available for younger students at the discretion of the teacher.
Master Classes
Master classes are scheduled two times per semester. They provide a public setting for students to prepare for upcoming concerts and auditions, receive feedback, and exchange ideas with their peers.
Performance Coaching
60 minute performance coaching sessions are available for advanced students. Such classes provide focused attention on performance techniques and working with an accompanist.
Recitals
Recitals are scheduled at the end of each semester. They give students the opportunity to perform for family and friends, and are followed by a reception.
Repertoire Selection &
Lending Library
The lending library gives students access to a wide range of vocal literature in a variety of styles and degrees of difficulty. Sheet music and CD recordings are available for students to borrow, with the expectation they be responsibly returned. Students are encouraged to bring in music of their own choice, but may benefit from repertoire recommendations made by the teacher, also.
STUDIO POLICIES
Attendance & Practice
Students are accepted into the studio with the understanding that it is for the full school year. Optimal progress is made through regular lesson attendance and weekly practice. (Lack of practice is not a sufficient reason to cancel a lesson, however.)
Cancellations
Cancellations require a 24-hour notice by phone or email.
Make-Up Lessons
Each student is allowed one make-up lesson per semester. Exceptions are made under special circumstances such as severe weather conditions and teacher-initiated cancellations.
Consultation
Before enrolling, an interview with the teacher may be scheduled at no charge.
